Free to Lead
Free to Lead helps nonprofit executive directors get their hours back, so your time goes where only you can put it. On the mission, on your people, on the decisions that are yours alone.
The quiet problem
Grant reports. Board packets. The donor follow-up you keep meaning to get to. The inbox that refills the moment you empty it. None of it is the reason you lead, and all of it eats the hours that were supposed to go to the work itself.
The leaks are quiet, which is exactly why they are so expensive. You feel the cost in your evenings and your weekends long before you can name where it went.
What Free to Lead does
We find where your time is actually going, and then we build systems, most of them powered by AI, that take the repeatable work off your plate. Wherever you are losing the most, that is where we start.
The point is never the tools. The point is giving you back the hours only you can spend on the mission.
Funder research, proposals, reports, and donor follow-up that no longer all run through you.
Clean packets, dashboards your board reads, and minutes done before you leave the room.
Turning the outcomes you already create into evidence funders believe.
The executive support a CEO has, sized for a nonprofit budget, so your attention goes where it counts.
Who is behind it
I am the founder and principal of Free to Lead. For more than twenty years I have worked at the intersection of strategy, systems, and economic mobility, leading national initiatives and helping mission-driven organizations turn ambitious goals into results that hold.
My own path runs the length of the economic spectrum, from growing up in poverty to earning a doctorate and building my own company. So when I sit across from a leader carrying more than any one person should, I am not guessing at what that feels like.
Free to Lead is where I bring that to bear, helping founder-CEOs and their teams close the gap between vision and execution. I am also the author of The Black Girl's Guide to Financial Freedom, which has sold more than 130,000 copies.
You will get a snapshot of where your time is going and the one place worth starting. No pressure, no pitch you did not ask for.
